Privacy Policy

Last updated 1 July 2026

Planning a trip means trusting us with personal details — passports, preferences, sometimes medical notes. Here's plainly what we collect, why, and what we'll never do with it.

The short version
  • We collect only what's needed to plan and book your travel — nothing more.
  • We never sell your data, and we never share it for anyone else's marketing.
  • Passport and ID details go only to airlines, hotels and embassies — the people who need them for your booking.
  • You can ask to see, correct, or delete your data any time — one email is enough.
This summary is here to help you read faster — the full policy below is what applies.

1. What we collect

When you enquire or book with us, we collect contact details (name, phone, email), traveller details needed for bookings (passport information, dates of birth, dietary or mobility notes you choose to share), and payment records. If you browse our website, we collect standard usage data through cookies — pages visited, searches made — to understand what's actually useful.

Information you give us directly

  • Name, phone number and email address
  • Passport details, date of birth, and any dietary or mobility notes
  • Payment and booking records

2. How we use it

Your information is used to plan and operate your trip, keep you informed before and during travel, and meet legal requirements such as visa processing. If you've opted in, we'll also send our monthly journeys email — see our newsletter preferences page — and you can unsubscribe with one click.

3. Who we share it with

Only the partners who deliver your trip, in this order of engagement:

  1. Airlines and hotels
  2. Ground operators and guides
  3. Insurers, embassies and visa-processing centres
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing.

4. How long we keep it

Booking and payment records are kept for as long as Indian tax and travel regulations require — currently eight years. Passport copies and visa documents are deleted within twelve months of your trip ending, unless you ask us to keep them on file for future journeys.

5. Your choices and rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct anything that's wrong, or have it deleted (subject to the retention rules above). Write to us at the address below and we'll respond within 30 days — usually much sooner.

6. How to reach us

For anything related to your personal data, email privacy@gotravelblue.com or write to our Mumbai office. Our data protection officer reads every message.
