4-star

Cabin numbers are assigned by the ship, not by us. If anyone in your group is prone to seasickness, ask for a mid-ship cabin on a lower deck and we will put the request in at booking — the Strait of Malacca is sheltered water, but a lower mid-ship cabin still moves least.

Meals

Every meal aboard is included: two main dining room sittings, an all-day buffet, afternoon tea and room-service breakfast. Lunch ashore is included on the Port Klang and Penang excursion days; the Langkawi excursion returns to the ship for lunch. The buffet runs an Indian counter daily and there are vegetarian mains at every dinner service, with the menu shared with your cruise manager in advance so you can pre-order for the sea day. This is not a pure-vegetarian galley and we cannot guarantee Jain food at sea. We notify the ship of dietary requirements 30 days before sailing, which covers vegetarian and no-onion-no-garlic reliably; travellers who need strictly Jain meals usually pre-order vegetarian and carry some home food for the sea day. Say so at enquiry and we will tell you honestly whether this sailing suits you.

Families who took this trip

We had no idea how any of it worked — muster drill, dining sittings, the card for onboard spending. Reshma walked us through all of it in the first hour and after that we just enjoyed ourselves.

Anand & Lata Kulkarni · sailed Jan 2026, first cruise

Three ports and a sea day is the right balance with children. Two things I would flag: the wi-fi is not worth buying, and book the Penang excursion rather than wandering off alone — the pier is in town but the hill is not.

Vivek Nambiar · sailed Dec 2025, family of 4

My father uses a stick and the mid-ship lower-deck cabin they requested made the corridors manageable. The Langkawi cable car was the only stop he sat out, and the ship was a pleasant enough place to sit it out in.
