A car with your names on it at Kochi airport and 80 km south to Kumarakom, about two hours, on the Vembanad lake shore. Nothing is planned after check-in: a lake-facing villa, the sunset from your own deck, and dinner set for two by the water rather than in the restaurant.

Where yours lands depends on villa category, whether you travel in the December–January and February peak or the quieter monsoon shoulder, and how much you add — an extra houseboat night, the Munnar or Vagamon hills, a longer Ayurvedic programme.
